About Me

My name is Pearl, though most people just call me Nanna. For more than fifty years I have made leather bags by hand — first at my mother's kitchen table, and later in a little workshop in country Victoria that smells of leather and beeswax to this day.

My mother taught me not to rush, not to cut corners, and never to let a bag leave my hands unless I could be proud of it. I have carried that lesson through every hide I have cut, every stitch I have pulled tight, and every long, happy day at the bench.

Now the time has come to hang up my tools. As I close Nannasboutique, I am letting go of my final collection — the last bags I will ever make under my name. Each one is finished the slow way, from a single piece of leather, and no two are exactly alike.

Thank you for letting me make things for you all these years. It has been the honour of my life.
